In this crazy year of 2020, we indeed find that everything suddenly and dramatically changed.
For most people, a true pivot wasn’t a choice, but rather an absolute must.
Some seem to find and make a creative pivot easily and actually seem to thrive with their pivot. They come up with new ideas that actually make their lives and business better than before.
I have a mentor who is an NLP authority who normally does an in-person workshop with about 200 people. His first thought was how in the world can I help people change what they do virtually.
He decided to try it and had over 700 people attend a 3 day Zoom event. It was out of this world effective. He reached way more people and had just as good or better resuts.
He wouldn’t even have considered doing this before COVID.
Even I (Terri) found myself pivoting. I suddenly had a very motivating reason to lose weight, as my doctor told me that being obese put me at severe risk of having complications if I were to get COVID.
More motivated than I have been before, I’ve lost 31 pounds in 8 months and am still very motivated to lose more.
That is weight I’ve been wanting to lose for over 20 years.
I can’t tell you how many zillion diets I tried before.
Other people found themselves, especially in the beginning months of COVID, with absolutely no idea of how to cope with what was going on.
They were completely drained of energy, emotionally and physically and especially creatively. And I know some people who understandably have actually put on weight with the stress they took on.
As we talked about in our last article, if you are to creatively come up with solutions, reach new milestones that you didn’t even know you could achieve, and even make complete pivots that are suddenly demanded of you, your best chance to do it is to it is to begin to leverage what is going right.
Even if they are small things that are going right, focusing there will bring up your creative energy. This will help you come up with new ideas and lead to welcoming the momentum for synchronicity to expand moreof those things that are going well.
Here is how Oprah Winfrey put it:

Having this focus of “what is working:” and what is happening now that you like, is like plugging yourself into an unlimited personal source of energy.
And if you want to amplify it even more, have someone else, or your whole team do it together.
This multiplies the power by creating synergy.
One of you will have an idea and another person will be inspired to have another idea that adds to it.
In contrast, focusing on what’s wrong is the source of energy drain for everyone and actually reinforces and prolongs having those undesired forces happen. I hope you were personally able to experience this by asking “What’s right?” questions of yourself, team mates, friends and family over this last week. If you haven’t read our last article that discussed how to do this, I encourage you to read it now.
And watch for our next article as it will give you even more ways to use this powerful tool of feeling good.
“When people feel good and even great about themselves, they have huge creativity possibilities and potential. The synergy is incredible, and things happen that seemed totally impossible and incredulous before.“ ~Terri Cornish
